OPEN in association with Studio UrbanBlu Ltd brings you our very own brand of stand-up with the Comedy Bank - taking place in the Club, 28 Castle Meadow.
The line up for this event will be:
As one of Britain’s most established and sought-after stand-ups, Paul can be seen at all the UK’s major venues. He regularly performs at London’s prestigious Comedy Store and is a member of The Cutting Edge team of comedians who perform topical material there every week. He has taken his unique brand of edgy and provocative topical gags, on the spot improvisation and surreal comedy songs as far afield as Dubai, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, China and Japan, as well as two critically acclaimed tours of Canadian Fringe Festivals
TV appearances include :Comedy Central at The Comedy Store, The World Stands Up, The Stand Up Show, Saturday Live, and Not Tonight with John Sergeant
Sharp and surreal observational humour, with a clean, swear-free set. Jeremy has an excellent reputation for performing consistently strong sets at major comedy clubs, corporate shows and festivals nationwide. As well as performing both his live stand-up and sketches for television, he writes prolifically for TV and radio.
O'Donnell mixes sharp oneliners with friendly storytelling and sparkling off the cuff wit.
A quirky laconic and sarcastic raconteur who never fails to delight. His act has been described as “truly original” (Danny Wallace (off of the telly)), whereas he’s been called “suave and chirpy” by that publishing powerhouse, the Bromsgrove Advertiser, and a “sarcastic raconteur” by the Leeds Metro. For some reason, this means that he has been likened to “the future Frank Skinner” (Birmingham Metro) and “Dylan Moran’s younger brother” (The Stage).
MC Karen Bayley
The first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award, Karen was also a BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase final and Babycham Funny Women finalist, all when launching onto the UK comedy circuit in 2003. Brummie Karen has quickly picked up a whole host of rave reviews, comedy awards and references from her peers. Her material surprises with inspired and sparkling punchlines, with comic timing that is rarely less than brilliant. Already a rising star on TV and radio, she has appeared on The Last Word, Take The Mike, Sex on the Job, The Fred Macauley Show and a regular on Radio 5 Live
The doors open at 7.30pm with the first performance starting around 8pm.
